About:

One of the first major automobile manufacturers in Russia was the joint-stock company "Dux", founded in 1893 by designer, entrepreneur, motor sportsman - engineer Julius Alexandrovich Meller.
The first Dux car was a batch of steam cars similar to the Stanley American steam engines. For these steam cars in 1902, at a competition in the Mikhailovsky Manege, the company received the first two prizes.
