• The name is a portmanteau of "dumper" and "tractor."
• They featured an unusual design with reversible controls - including dual steering wheels and a driver’s station that could be rotated - allowing the vehicle to be driven in either direction. They were built using components from wheeled tractors manufactured by the Vörös Csillag plant (Hungary).
• They were supplied in large numbers to the USSR during the 1960s for use on construction sites.
